Book 5 in the Heller series. Tilly Chalmers’ new job as a researcher for a major TV star is turning out to be more eventful than she ever expected. Always on the lookout for a high rating story for her famous boss, she tangles with adult movie stars, and the man who inspired a couple of blood-thirsty young murderers. An unwelcome encounter with a long-time enemy stirs up trouble, and what important decision does Heller make that threatens to jeopardise their relationship?

Heller Decision edition by JD Nixon Romance eBooks

I had a lot of fun reading Heller's Decision. I breezed through the pages and immensely enjoyed Tilly's crazy antics and the colorful side characters. This book 4 is no different from its predecessors. Tilly is still a trouble magnet and boy does she attract the attention of some bad bad men. Of course, Heller and his security men always saves her behind every single time.

To be honest, I am getting a bit tired of her irresponsible and immature behavior. She always manages to throw herself in the middle of troubles and never seem to have the ability to get out of them without having Heller swoop in to rescue her. I really want her character to grow up a bit and build more depth. Since Tilly's was on suspension from being a security officer at Hellers, she has also gotten herself fired from being Trent's research assistant. And what does she do after? Instead of trying to find a normal job or find ways to better herself, she goes back to dressing as a hamburger waving a sign; and when that job ends, she decides to be a sales lady even though the owner makes her buy a new outfit from that shop everyday. Isn't she supposed to be really broke since she has been mooching food off of people around her? I mean come on, this really is very unattractive. At twenty six I want the heroine of the story to be smarter and more I dependent. Tilly's lack of sense and direction is killing the story for me.

I like the writing and story. I really do. But it is getting a little annoying. I don't know how much more cliche and dumbness I can take.

Heller Decision edition by JD Nixon Romance eBooks Reviews

The latest offering in the Heller series has introduced some great new characters and plot twists. The humor that is JD Nixon's forte is right on the money.
This book reads quickly and keeps the reader's interest. However, there is no plot resolution...not to the interesting sub-stories or to the main issue...Where is the Tilly/Heller relationship going? Is this a healthy relationship for Tilly? There are hints that Heller's history is very painful and that his relationship with Tilly is a healing one, but we need to know some of that history in order to keep a warm feeling towards Heller. The author writes this as a continuing series, and not to be stand-alone books. Still, it would be nice to get some answers in each installment before moving on to the next group of questions.
That said, the adventures of Tilly sure keep the reader on his toes. Even when she is sailing on calm waters, Tilly seems to create a wake of disaster! Perhaps Heller's keeping her at the Warehouse is more an effort to protect the world than it is to keep her safe! JD Nixon has a way of creating very real and very intriguing characters. The reader wants to know more about each and every one of them.
This is a good weekend read and makes the reader anxious for the follow-up.
I was disappointed by this book. Okay, maybe not disappointed but let down. It's the typical bad luck life for Tillie. I mean the amount of trouble this girl gets into, and the things that go wrong just baffle me. But I mean, that is normal Tillie. The thing that really got to me is we still don't know ANYTHING about Heller. He still doesn't know if he is in love with Tillie. She's still basically his sex toy. And you're left wondering if they really are in a relationship. Then the chaos that goes down with Marcus. That left me reeling. And Trent. I feel like she was pushed under the bus. At least Malefic disappeared and didn't do any black magic on her. Don't get me wrong, this has all the drama of a normal Heller book...and of course, all the bad luck and chaos of a normal Tillie. But I don't think it actually gave us anything on them as a couple. he still doesn't answer questions and she still asks too many. I guess I just wanted more from Heller for Tillie. More of some sort of commitment, information, truth. I don't know, something. I don't know, just more. Guess I have to keep my fingers crossed we get that in the next book.
4.5 stars

Book 5 in the Heller’s series. I absolutely love this series. J.D. Nixon has a way of making you laugh until you cry. This is what started it for me

“He staggered to his feet, holding out his hand to haul me up as well. But he didn’t make it upright. His feet slid out from under him as he tried to stand, both the bathroom floor and his soles covered in massage oil. He fell on hi butt inelegantly, arms and legs everywhere. A fit of laughter, which soon had me choking for more air, consumed meat the sight.”

If you have read a Heller book then you would know the sight of Heller falling is enough to bring me to tears. But that was only the start. As you keep reading after that part above it gets funnier. I laughed so much with tears rolling down my face.

Tilly. How I love that woman. She is funny, sweet, smart, and quick at comebacks. Trouble follows her everywhere she goes. Seriously. Even though you expect trouble by now while reading you can’t help but to keep going to find out what crazy crap happens to her next. I love her character and these books would not be the same without her.

“Can’t you wiggle over to me?”

“I’m not some kind of maggot!”

Heller. What to say about this beast. Tall, sexy, gorgeous, powerful, successful, but not the brightest when it comes to American things. He has an accent that would melt anyone’s panties. But is not accustomed to a lot of American things which ends him with saying some wrong things at the wrong times, therefor pissing Tilly off. But he loves her. They only way he knows how. It is evident in this book.

”My intentions? I intend to have sex with Matilda as often as possible.”

Never a dull moment with these two. Then there is Daniel and Niq. I absolutely love these two. Daniel is so sweet and caring but has a very bad past and certain things that have happened make him very guarded. Niq being the youngest is so sweet and I absolutely adore both of them.

Clive. Now Clive scares the hell out of me probably as much as Tilly. I really wish one of these books he would loosen up some. I don’t exactly get why he dislikes Tilly so much. Maybe I forgot since it has been awhile since I have read the other books. But even with him there are no dull moments.

“And I guess that was about as much praise as I could ever expect from him in a lifetime. He unexpectedly slapped me on the back, in what he probably thought was a friendly, congratulatory manner, but which sent me stumbling forward. I tripped over one of the men’s bloody-huge sized boots into a different man. He staggered backwards, falling across a desk and I toppled on to him in a very compromising position.”

Bick I love dearly. Him and Hugh are two of my favorites. I feel for Hugh who has feelings for Tilly. I kinda always hoped that Tilly would end up with him. I do like Heller but for a happy ending that I think Tilly deserves that Hugh would be the more logical choice. I get the hype of Heller but I really like Hugh.

Again, I absolutely love this series. I would highly recommend to everyone who is looking for a series with some good laughs. Now I just have to wait for the next one to come out. Hopefully soon.
